Great News!!!

We have great news!!!

Our spa services are set to resume a week from today, on July 1st!! Our spa staff is ready and eager to get back to making you look and feel your best. Services that we will be able to perform include massage, waxing, lash and brow tinting, body treatments, facials, peels, dermaplaning, lash extensions, and waxing.

Rest assured we are taking all necessary precautions for your safety and ours. We are still requiring our staff and guests to wear face masks and we are following all sanitization guidelines.

We are so excited to be celebrating our 10th Anniversary today! We have been so blessed with an amazing staff and guests over these 10 years. To say that we love what we do is an understatement. Being in this industry means we get to touch peoples lives and celebrate so many happy moments with them. It’s an honor to be a part of daddy-daughter dances, proms and weddings. We get to soothe people with massage and make them glow with skin treatments.  We have had so much success because of you and we truly thank you for your conitinued support and love over the years. When we reopen in a few weeks you will see we have been using this time to make some updates at our salon, we hope you love the changes as much as we do!

We would love to be celebrating together with our Naviina family and guests, but we will have to save that for another day and time. This last month and a half has been very different, and scary, and unbelievable but will persevere and continue to grow stronger and stronger.

We are Opening on May 15th!


Thank you all so much for your excitement surrounding the announcement that salons, including Naviina Salon & Day Spa, can reopen!
 

We want to be very clear that we are taking your safety and that of our staff very seriously. We will be waiting until May 15th to reopen due to implementing the new standards set forth by the governor. We had such short notice that we are still awaiting much needed PPE to arrive and we also have renovations which need to be finished. There are many new safety and sanitation rules that we are implementing. Unfortunately we will not be able to book any massage or facial appointments in our spa until phase two begins which is July 1st. Please read on to see what some of our new protocols will look like.

 

  • Appointments: We will begin calling to reschedule guests on Monday, May 4th, and our online booking at www.naviinasalon.com will re-open for booking. We appreciate your patience while some service providers may have limited availability. Due to the scheduled shifting of the service providers, your scheduled appointment may not stand as it was previously scheduled, however, we will notify you as soon as possible. We have limited phone staff that will be working hard to accommodate the many changes that have occurred. Our phones will remain closed until then. We WILL NOT be taking calls for appointments before May 4th. For better tracking please email your appointment requests info@naviinasalon.com if you cannot book online and we will reach out to you.

 

  • Social Distancing – Service Providers will be working in every other station, leaving an empty station to keep a safe distance.

 

  • Masks – Our staff will be required to wear masks. We require that you wear a mask to your appointment that secures behind the ears.

 

  • Minimial Blow-drying – Temporarily, we will not be doing full blowouts and styling in the salon. Minimal blow-drying also allows for our staff to have sufficient sanitizing time between clients without extended appointment times. Please know that any adjustments in your services and blow-drys will be temporary.

 

  • Touchless Greetings & Goodbyes – We will not be shaking hands or hugging at this time.

 

  • Capes- clients will receive a fresh cape for their service as always. Please come in freshly laundered clothing.

 

  • No Beverages – We will not be offering any beverage service at this time.

 

  • Limited Items and Guests – Please limit any belongings that you bring with you perhaps to your phone and forms of payment(rather than your handbag). Please do not bring any extra guests with you and please do not bring children to your appointment at this time. The exception to this is if a young child is scheduled, at that point we would allow one parent to accompany them into the service and maintain space from our service providers. Absolutely no pets will be allowed in the salon at this time.

 

  • Please wait in your vehicle- We ask that you wait in your vehicle at this time so that there will be minimal contact between guests arriving and leaving. We will call you when we are ready for you to enter the salon.

 

If you have been ill or around someone who has been ill, please wait 14 days to reschedule your appointment.

 

Our local, family-owned business appreciates your support and understanding as we navigate this new salon “norm”. We are working quickly and very diligently to be both accommodating and conscientious to your needs. We are incorporating extensive new and improved sanitation practices into every aspect of our operation, includingthe requirement of all of our Service Provider’s completion of a Barbicide Course and Certification . We appreciate your kindness and support during this difficult time in history. We look forward to seeing you in the salon soon!

Covid Update!!

 

We just heard the great news that we can start planning for reopening!!!!!  While we would absolutely LOVE to open on Friday, however we have some final protocols that need to be set in place as far as spacing, guest count, and PPE.  The health of our guests and staff is of utmost importance to us. We also have a few renovations that were scheduled for May that are finishing up as we had them started during the shut down. We’re going to be looking fresh when we reopen!  We will announce our plans as soon as we can when we have these new protocols finalized in the next few days.  We are so excited to see each and every one of you!!

April 22nd, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, an annual celebration close to our heart. Inspired by this major moment, we’re reflecting on Aveda’s long history of supporting this important day and highlighting some of our milestones.

While our mission guides us each and every day, Earth Day provides a special opportunity for us to share our passion and spread greater awareness of environmental causes.

In 1990, Aveda becomes an International Sponsor of Earth Day at our inaugural celebration of the event. In addition, Aveda donates to Global ReLeaf, an international program created by the American Forestry Association to reforest the world.

 

 

 

Under the campaign Makeover for the Planet Earth: Aveda Beaut-A-Thon,  Aveda donates to Give to the Earth, which helps to fund Clean Water Action, the National Toxics Campaign and other organizations. It was the launch of Aveda’s very own first official Earth Day event, the precursor to the current Earth Month campaign we all know today.

 

 

 

Under the Do it for 30 Days, Make it a Habit for Life campaign, Aveda donates to Give to the Earth, which helps to fund Battered Women Fighting Back, the Siskiyou Project (a grassroots organization protecting the Siskiyou rivers and surrounding land in Oregon) and other organizations.

 

 

 

One of our favorite campaigns, What on Earth Are We Doing?, urges the world to wake up to the increasing environmental destruction. Aveda supports Give to the Earth, which helps to fund Citizens for a Better Environment, World Wildlife Fund and other organizations.

 

 

 

The Earth is Our Children’s. The Choice is Ours. For this campaign in 1999, Aveda raises $300,000 for environmental organizations and gathers signatures to halt deforestation. This year marks our first annual Earth Month campaign.

 

 

 

Is There a Better Cause for Celebration? In 2001, this campaign helps us raise $409,000 for environmental organizations working to protect oceans and local watersheds. We also collect signatures to petition to bring clean, safe water to the world.

 

 

 

With Aveda’s What Can You Do For the Earth Today? campaign, we raise $1.47M combined between the 2002 and 2003 celebrations for environmental organizations, and collect pledges to help stop global warming.

 

 

 

With our Save Plants, Save Yourself campaign, we raise $1.5M for environmental organizations and collect signatures to help protect endangered species. Aveda introduces their first limited-edition Light the Way™ Earth Month candle and donates 100% of the purchase price* to help protect clean water,** which contributes $500K of the total.

 

 

This year marks the first of the next 11 years in which Aveda shifts to focus fundraising efforts to protect and provide clean water through our partnership with Global Greengrants Fund and local Earth Month partners. Aveda holds their first Walks for Water, which unites the Aveda global network in a singular event. Executed locally on or around the same date, the Walks for Water raise awareness, funds and excitement for the need to protect clean water around the world. Walks are designed to be 4 miles in length which is the average distance that women in developing countries have to walk to collect water each day.

 

 

 

Aveda’s Catwalks for Water grow in popularity as a way of raising funds. These are annual green carpet events during which local Aveda salons come together to raise money for Earth Month. Using the Earth as their muse, design teams create a comprehensive look that celebrates beauty, sustainable fashion and Aveda’s mission to care for the world we live in.

 

 

 

In 2013, Aveda sets the Guinness World Record for the most funds raised for charity in 24 hours with haircuts at the Global Cut-a-Thon. All proceeds benefit clean water protection for Global Greengrants Fund and local Earth Month partners.

We just wanted to send a reminder that we are now offering touch-up kits to those of you with single process colors every week. Contact us and Bobbie will custom make a touch up kit using your formula and we supply you with everything needed to apply. Please let us know Thursday’s at 8pm if you would like a kit for yourself to be picked up Friday 1-6pm. You may see the video with instructions below.

We are also currently taking orders for curbside pickup of product on Friday’s 1-6pm. Hello to all of our lovely guests. We hope everyone is wearing well during this time of uncertainty, please use this as a time of reflection and connection with those that you are hunkered down with. As many of you may already know, Janet Mills has issued a Stay-At-Home order until April 30th (can you believe we weren’t deemed essential?! JK) so our new opening date is scheduled for Friday May 1st. We must remember that this is a tentative date and we have to remain fluid as we must follow new guidelines as they are set forth.  The safety of our employees and customers is the utmost importance and while we are currently planning to reopen on May 1,  this could change based on the evolving situation and what federal or state requirements are in place.
